Biography:
Ed Westwick was born in England, in Stevenage, Hertfordshire on June 27, 1987. As a teenager, he became a member of the National Youth Theatre and was trained in London. Over the course of the year 2006, Westwick appeared in various television shows (Doctors, Casualty, Afterlife) as well as two films – “Children of Men” and “Breaking and Entering” (in which he starred opposite Jude Law) before heading over to the United States to audition for roles there.

In 2007, Ed Westwick scored the role that rocketed him toward stardom – Chuck Bass in The CW hit teen drama, Gossip Girl. Since then, he has appeared in films such as “100 Feet” and “S. Darko,” as well as guest starred in the hit HBO comedy Californication.

Recently, he’s scored his first starring film role as Jonny in “Chalet Girl” (2011), a British romantic comedy, as well as the supporting role of Agent Smith in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming film “J. Edgar.”
