VIDEO: Gossip Girl 100th Episode Party

Posted by Tweety with No Comments

When Gossip Girl premiered on The CW in 2007, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick became overnight sensations.

The cast joined executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage to celebrate the show’s 100th episode on November 19 at Cipriani in New York City, and only Us Weekly has an inside look at the star-studded soiree.

“I was 20 when we shot the pilot, and I just turned 21 when I went to New York City,” Crawford, now 26, said on the red carpet. “Not a bad time to turn 21 and move to the city!”

Crawford’s costar Lively, 24, can hardly believe she’s been on the show for five seasons. “I feel so lucky that we get to be here and that we get to work here and that we get to wear these beautiful clothes,” she said.

Gossip Girl‘s 100th episode — which centers around Blair Waldorf’s planned wedding to Prince Louis of Monaco — airs Monday, January 30 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.

Ed Westwick on the future & the end of ‘Gossip Girl’ with theinsider.com

Posted by Tweety with No Comments

Insider.com: You just wrapped up a Bad-Ass Boys of The CW panel — do you still see Chuck like that?
Ed Westwick: It’s kind of one-dimensional. Also, what are they implying? Is The CW saying I’m bad? The character is bad? Both? [laughs] I can’t box Chuck as a bad boy any more – he was very much in the beginning because he was a brat and got up to some shocking activities, with date rape and all sorts of precarious activities. But I don’t believe that any more. At the moment, he’s a man on a mission to get the love of his life. Granted, there will be a few covert operations along the way, which are bound to have deviousness involved. So there’s that, but I think after five years, we’ve showed depth. Or at least I hope I have [laughs].

TVLine.com: Ed Westwick on Chuck’s ‘obsession’ with Blair and his likely ‘tragic’ fate

Posted by Tweety with No Comments

When The CW’s Gossip Girlreturns this Monday at 8/7c, Chuck and Blair’s happy reunion will be put on hold. So, what happened after the pair seemingly sealed their future together in the fall finale? Will it drive Chuck back to his old ways? And should he be worried about Blair’s new confidant, Dan? TVLine went to Ed Westwick for the answers to those questions and others!

TVLINE | Obviously Chuck’s not dead. But is he carrying any sort of emotional or physical scars from what happened?
I think so. I don’t see how you can’t after anything as traumatic as that. Not just that – the amount the guy’s been through [over] the course of the show has just been devastating. You hear stories sometimes on TV shows and these people are giving accounts of their lives and all the travesties that they’ve encountered, troubles they’ve encountered. I think Chuck is one of those characters. If it was real life, he could write a book. There’s going to be some emotional and some physical wounds, I’m sure. The emotional are probably going to be a lot more [heavy] than the physical.
